Winning the toss, GIHS had no hestitaion in electing to bat. Player of the match and skipper of GIHS Jane Abraham made 25 runs and shared a crucial 65-run partnership with Maira (21 not out).
In reply, the seasoned DMHS girls got into business upfront with captain Rashi Dalmiya (24) and Sana (27) notched up 63 runs for the opening partnership that helped their team to win comfortably.
The second semi finals match was an one-sided affair with DPS posting a mammoth score of 98 runs for the loss of one wicket in 12 overs. Captain Malitha and Namrata made 48 runs between themselves vor the opening partnership. In reply, Indian High School girls were totally out of the chase as they mustered only a modest 37 runs for six wickets in 12 overs. Namrata and Aurshi took two wickets each.
