Emirates Islamic Bank in Sharjah League final

Emirates Islamic Bank, batting first, seized the early initiative, scoring a healthy 206 for four in 20 overs. Khurram (56 not out off 24 balls with three four and four sixes) led the batting charge.

Later, Amir Khan (38 off 31 balls), Ali Asad (38 off 19 balls) and Asim Kaleem (28 off 16 balls) further added to the woes of a struggling Universal Steel attack.

Universal Steel, in reply, were shot out for 80 in the 16^th over with Asim Kaleem (three for 20) doing most of the damage.

Muzammil, Naeem and Nabeel also picked up two wickets each to complete the Universal Steel rout.

Meanwhile, Eurocon Alubdond defeated Lanka Lions SC by 47 runs in a one-sided match of the Bukhatir League ‘B’ Division Tournament.

Eurocon, batting first, scored a competitive 181 for nine. Amin Mujtaba top scored with 60 off 32 balls. Nasir Aziz (45 off 23 balls) and Haris Baki (31 off 17 balls) were the other major scorers.

Lanka Lions, in reply, could manage only 134 before being skittled out in the 18^th overs.

Duminda (39) and Darshana (20) were the only two batsmen who offered some resistance to the Eurocon attack.

Nasir took three wickets for 30 runs while Waqas and Azam picked up two wickets each.
