Emirates Islamic overwhelm Ibsons CC
SHARJAH - Nabeel Khalid and Ali Asad shared nine wickets to guide Emirates Islamic Bank to a massive 126-run victory over a hapless Ibsons CC side in a quarter-final match of the 17th Sharjah Invitation League Tournament at Al Dhaid Cricket Village.
Nabeel took five wickets for 25 runs while Ali Asad conceded just 12 runs for his four-wicket haul as the two premier bowlers destroyed the Ibsons CC batting before it collapsed to 76 all out in 13 overs. Only Fayyaz could reach the double-digit mark.
Earlier, Emirates Islamic Bank piled up a huge 202 for seven in 20 overs. Naeem Khan (38 off 16 balls), Ali Asad (34 off 12 balls), Asim Kaleem (28 off 18 balls), Khurram (26) and Amir (23) took the Ibsons CC bowlers to cleaners with a fluent display of batting.
