England win toss and field against Australia

Andrew Strauss won the toss and elected to field against Australia in the third one-day international at Old Trafford.

His decision was no surprise after England had gone 2-0 up by successfully runchasing in both the first two matches of this five-match series.

England, for whom victory would see them take an unbeatable 3-0 lead, were unchanged from the side that won the second one-day international by four wickets in Cardiff on Thursday, with left-arm spinner Michael Yardy fit after a minor groin problem.

But world champions Australia made two changes.

Fast bowler Shaun Tait, a late addition to the squad after off-spinner Nathan Hauritz withdrew because of a foot injury, was recalled to the side for his first one-day international since February last year.

And seamer Ryan Harris, fit after a groin problem, was recalled in place of Clint McKay, who conceded 60 runs in Cardiff, as Australia looked to add extra pace to their attack.
