Sijah bowled a superbly to return with excellent figures of five for 16 from his five overs and Omer, the captain, stroked 44 not out to steer his side with more than 11 overs to spare in Group B.
Omer’s 35-ball knock contained three hits to the fence and a couple clearing the grounds. He also shared a 78-run stand for the second-wicket with Anvar Sadath, who chipped in with a useful 22 in 32 balls.
Sijah was well supported by Akash Vipin, who took three wickets for six runs from three overs. They did the early damage by claiming eight wickets between them as Emirates Future from a sound 43 for one were bowled out for 83.
