The tournament, organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council, is supported by 106.2 HUM FM and CBFS as associate sponsors.

Bowling to a tight line and length, Haris and Javed made inroads into the Fly Emirates batting line-up, sharing seven wickets without conceding many runs. Haris returned with a four-wicket haul for 22 runs while Javed picked up three wickets for 17 runs as Fly Emirates, batting first, folded up at 91 in the 23rd over.

Lalith Dissanayake was the only batsman who could offer some worthwhile resistance to the disciplined Gyan Steel attack by scoring 45 off 57 balls with six fours.

Gyan Steel, in reply, achieved the modest victory target with two overs to spare. Haroon (24 off 31 balls) and Ansar Butt (22 off 21 balls) guided the team home with some fine batting. Nigel Fernandez, Lalith Dissanayake and Rohan Mustafa took two wickets, but Gyan Steel batsmen held firm to suffocate Fly Emirates hopes of making a comeback into the match.

Brief scores: Fly Emirates lost to Gyan Steel by four wickets: Fly Emirates 91 all out in 22.5 overs (Lalith Dissanayake 45, Haris Khan 4-22, Javed Ismail 3-17) Gyan Steel 92 for six in 23 overs (Haroon 24, Ansar Butt 22; Nigel Fernandez 2-15, Lalith Dissanayake 2-6, Rohan Mustafa 2-24). Man of the match: Javed Ismail of Gyan Steel.
