Indian High School team prevail

DUBAI — The inaugural match of girls under-17 Maxtalent Acer Cup, organised at Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club, was played between Indian High School Dubai team and Happy Home School, Sharjah, a press release said here on Thursday.

Indian High School Dubai won the match over Happy Home School Sharjah by 10 wickets.

Sharjah Happy Home school teamgirls, electing to bat, put up afighting score of54 in their allotted12 overs at Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club.

Indian High School Dubai got the required run without losing a single wicket.

Meanwhile, last year’s Maxtalent Acer Cup runners-up, Dubai Modern High School, notched up a comprehensivevictory over Emirates English Speaking School Dubai in the second match of the day in the Maxtalent Acer Cup.

Batting first, Dubai Modern High School made 113 forthe loss of fourwickets in 12 overs. Rashi Dalmiya (25), Aditi (20), Sana (16)were the main contributors with the bat.

In reply, Emirates English Speaking School could only manage 42/3 in 12 overs.

Radhika (17) was the only notable contributor with the bat for the losing team, while Prathna (2 for 3 runs) was the most successful bowler for the winnig team.
