Reliable opening batsman Katich damaged a thumb and left-arm fast bowler Bollinger suffered a stomach injury during the recent tour of India but they are on course to face England in Brisbane starting on Nov. 25.

“Simon Katich injured a thumb ligament prior to the first test in India,” team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris said in a statement.

“Since returning home, he has seen a specialist who advised him take a short break from batting and then return to training. As such, he has not batted since returning from India but will do so next week.”

Bollinger has been cleared of any significant muscle damage and is due to play for his state New South Wales in around three weeks.

Fast bowler Harris is making good progress after undergoing knee surgery in July.
