The latest warning by International Cricket Council was a slap on the face of the PCB chairman Ijaz Butt who is despised by everyone in the country but still holds the position.

Former Pakistan captain Moin Khan who was here to take part in Dubai Super Sixes tournament, expressed his displeasure over the cricketing affairs in the country.

Moin said: “There is nothing to say about Pakistan cricket because everything is going against the game.

“It sends wrong signals to the entire world. The PCB needs professionalism because it has become a one-man show and game has suffered irreparable losses during last two years.

“All the decisions by current administration are detrimental to the game. They have lost the confidence of the players and the public alike and it is high time for them to quit to save cricket in Pakistan.

“We need to overhaul the PCB and cricketing scenario in Pakistan.”

While answering a question about Misbahul Haq being named as Test captain, the former wicketkeeper said: “It was a real shocker for me. How can you make a player captain who is nowhere near the team?

“He has not played enough domestic cricket and he was dropped in the past for bad performance.

“It will be difficult for him to win the respect of fellow players.

“I am deeply disappointed with the treatment meted out to Younis Khan by the PCB.

“The board has made it (Younis’ issue) a matter of ego denying Pakistan an opportunity to perform better on international stage.”

Younis, a proven leader, is ready to make a comeback and serve the country but the PCB has personal agenda against him.

“Thy are reluctant to bring him back. This selected group of people are working against the game in the country.

“They should think about Pakistan irrespective of their personal differences to help revive the game in Pakistan.”

The 38-year-old Moin, who featured in 69 Tests for Pakistan added: “The ICC suspended Salman Butt, Mohammad Aamer and Mohammad Asif after an English newspaper claimed they had been bribed to do spot fixing during the fourth Test against England at Lords in August but the PCB’s response was too slow.

“They should have acted promptly to avoid the ICC suspension.”
