A thrilling experience for those who watched this match right through. Quite a few ups and downs towards the very end of this match. Chennai's total was never a staggering one but they bowled exceptionally well to come back as strongly as they did today. Ross Taylor did well to hold his nerves and anchor the innings but failed it to finish it off, falling in the last over. It came down to the final moments of the match when the Bangalore bowlers sneaked through with a bat in their hands. They have beaten Chennai and have to beat Deccan and Delhi in days to come.

"Not really happy. We tried to win a game out of it. Our fielding has been suspect throughout the tournament. We are a safe fielding side, but not a brilliant fielding side. We have a lot of youngsters in the side who can't throw or run all that well. We were clearly about 20 short. " said Dhoni

According to Kumble, "It was a fantastic effort. The bowling was brilliant. In the end Ross Taylor saw us through. We stuck to plan. We wanted to get Haydos early on but that didn't happen. Still overall our plan worked. Kallis bowled brilliantly. We'd like to take it one game at a time."

Hayden started off in his natural destructive style as he belted the bowlers to all corners of the ground. Then Kallis came in and changed the complexion of the game with 2 quick wickets. Dhoni and Hayden fell immediately after the break as they tried to up the tempo. From then on it was a struggle as the RCB attack strangled the batsmen with wicket to wicket stuff. All the catches were taken as it was a comprehensive fielding performance from the Royal Challengers. Chennai were 72/2 at the strategy break and only 57 runs came for the loss of 8 wickets. The last six wickets fell for 28 runs. It looks a below par score and Bangalore will be confident of chasing this down.
