Seven Seas Notch Easy Win in Anchor Marine Cup

DUBAI - Seven Seas won their first group match of the Anchor Marine T20 Cricket Cup defeating Habib Bank AG Zurich by eight wickets, a press release said.

The tournament is being held at the Seven Seas ground under the auspices of the Dubai Cricket Council. All prizes are donated by Shahvir Sidhwa of Seven Seas Group.

Batting first, Habib Bank AG Zurich posted a respectable total of 147 for the loss of five wickets in the allotted 20 overs. Sohail batted superbly for a composed 68. Mohsin claimed three for 12.

Seven Seas made light work of the target scoring the runs in 9.2 overs. Javed Butt started the assault with 20 of only six balls followed by quick half centuries from Zubair (63) and Kaleem (50). Zubair was declared man of the match for his 16-ball 63.
