The tournament, organised by Freddy Sidhwa of Seven Seas, is being held under the auspices of Dubai Cricket Council. All prizes are also sponsored by Freddy Sidhwa. In the first match of the day, Seven Seas defeated XI on Top CC by 61 runs. Batting first, Seven Seas made 248/1 in 20 overs.
Qadir Nawaz performed brilliantly scoring 175 runs (not out) off just 60 balls, Qadir was strongly supported by his captain and veteran star Freddy Sidhwa who played a splendid innings of 54 not out off 34 balls. Mahesh remained the only bowler to take a wicket.
Chasing the target, XI on Top CC scored 181 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Mahesh remained the top scorer with 50 runs. He was supported by Vigesh (47) and Jahanz (25). Among the bowlers, Faraz stood out with three wickets, while Qadir, Mohsin and Kaleem took a wicket each. In another match Eleven CC defeated Seven Seas Blues by 137 runs. Batting first, Eleven CC scored 271 for the loss of 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Majid displayed a superb batting performance scoring 113. He was supported by Chamil’s 69 and Shezad’s 26. Jehangir took 3 wickets whilst Farhad took 2 wickets respectively.
