South Africa on course for victory in West Indies

Left-hander Smith was dismissed for 90 as South Africa, which was 155-2 overnight, pushed on to 206-4 in its second innings on Sunday before declaring midway through the morning session.

The West Indies, set a mammoth target of 457, slipped to 62-2 at lunch.

South Africa’s first innings destroyers, Dale Steyn and Morne Morkel, each grabbed one wicket.

Captain Chris Gayle led the home team with a counter-attacking, unbeaten 42 off 45 balls. The powerful left-hander struck five fours and a six.
