In another match, ECB Blues continued to ride the wave of success, defeating Seven Seas Strikers by 12 runs.

Phoenix Medicines matched Pack 2 Go’s score of 160 in the allotted 20 overs and then produced a clinical finish in the ensuing Super Over to settle the issue.

Earlier Pack 2 Go rode on fine half-centuries by Ajmad Javed (54 off as many balls) and Syed Maqsood (52 off 38 balls with six fours) to consolidate their innings. Opener Jaya Prakash (27 off 15 balls) was the other major scorer as Pack 2 Go did well to post 160 for six despite losing the last four wickets with the addition of just five runs.

Phoenix Medicines, in reply, had built their innings around Haroon Ahmed (62 off 56 balls) and Waseem Raja (34 off 25 balls), who prospered in a brilliant opening wicket stand of 71 runs. They had their chances of wrapping up the match, but two quick run outs that of Zeeshan Khan (15) and Rohan Mustafa (7) late in the innings extended the match into the Super Over.

In the other match, ECB Blues needed some useful contributions from Abdul Rehman (22), Amjad Ali (21), Ghulam Rasool (27) and Mohammed Tauqir (17) to post a decent 129 before being all out on the penultimate ball of their innings.

Shafaqat Ali bowled well for Seven Seas Strikers, taking three wickets for 18 runs while Mohsin Irshad and veteran Freddy Sidhwa picked up two each.

Seven Seas Strikers, in reply, were restricted to 117 for eight despite a brilliant knock of 61 by Mohammed Boota. The opener smashed three fours and three sixes in his 53-ball innings.
