Winslade was found to have breached Article 2.1.4 of the ICC Code of Conduct for Players and Player Support Personnel, which relates to “using language or a gesture that is obscene, offensive or insulting during an International Match”.
The incident happened in the 15th over of UAE’s innings when Winslade used offensive language after having been warned in an over before for a similar offence.
The charge was brought by on-field umpires S. Ravi and Ian Ramage as well as third umpire Shozab Raza.
On Friday evening, Winslade admitted the offence and accepted the sanction proposed by Andy Pycroft of the Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees. As such, there was no need for a formal hearing.
