Lamb took a career best 3-45 in his 10 overs in an impressive bowling performance by the hosts on a receptive Harare Sports Club wicket.

Ravindra Jadeja top-scored with 51, cracking three fours and two sixes off 72 balls in the fourth match of the series.

Experience carried the day for Zimbabwe with veteran bowlers Andy Blignaut and Ray Price keeping the Indian batsmen in check with accurate lines and length in the opening spell.

Pace bowler Blignaut tested the Indian openers with accurate short-pitched deliveries while spinner Price gave the ball good flight.

The first wicket fell in the 17th over when opener Dinesh Karthik on 33 tried to reverse-sweep a Lamb delivery and top-edged to wicketkeeper Tatenda Taibu.

Lamb bagged his second wicket when the other opener Murali Vijay (21) charged down the wicket to be stumped by Taibu.

Virat Kohli nicked behind to Taibu off Prosper Utseya for 18, while captain Suresh Raina (3) succumbed to a brilliant piece of fielding by Blignaut, who directly ran him out from square leg.

Rohit Sharma, with two consecutive centuries in the series, added 13 runs before he was run out by Elton Chigumburas throw to bowler Graeme Cremer.

Yusuf Pathan (15) missed a straight Ray Price delivery to be trapped leg before and Amit Mishra then failed to clear mid on to be taken by Charles Coventry off Cremers bowling.

Lamb got his third after Ashok Dinda (16) found Brendan Taylor in the deep for 16.
