According to a top police official, a complaint was received at the operations room that some people posing as police officers raided scrap outlets located in the industrial area No 10 and assaulted the workers there. They also robbed the workers of their belongings and fled the premises.

The complaint stated that the workers followed and caught the suspect identified as M.A and held their car. They found the stolen items in the car. The workers handed over the first suspect and his car to the police.

The police managed to arrest the other two suspects identified as A.B and Z.M who later confessed that with the help of the first suspect they assaulted the workers, robbed their belongings and impersonated police men.
