Three Nigerians have been arrested for stealing Dh200,000 from a car in the Sharjah Industrial Area.

The arrests were made by the Sharjah Police in coordination with Ajman Police yesterday.

The Shajrah Industrial Area police station received a complaint about damage to a car and theft of money from it. The theft was investigated by a team of CID officers who were led to the trail of the three suspects and arrested them in Ajman. During interrogation, the trio reportedly confessed they had entered the country on a visit visa and had committed the crime.

Police are asking people to be careful when withdrawing cash from bank and not to leave it in their car, even if it is locked, to avoid theft.
