5 killed, 2 hurt in separate road accidents in Sharjah and Dubai

Dubai - In Dubai on Sunday, a motorcyclist and the pillion rider were killed as the bike they were on rammed into a truck in Al Quoz.

Five people were killed and two other seriously injured in separate traffic accidents reported in Dubai and Sharjah in three days.

According to Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of the Dubai Traffic Department, the motorcyclist was surprised to see a truck moving on his right side. He crashed into the truck and the duo died on the spot.
He said that the second accident took place at 3am on Thursday when an Asian was hit in a traffic accident who was hit by a car while he was crossing on the Dubai -- Al Ain road. He died on the spot .
The third accident took place on Monday at 11pm, when a mini bus hit a pedestrian who was crossing the road from non-designated area and he sustained serious injuries.
In Sharjah, two Asians died on the spot and two other seriously injured during crash between truck and a car in Maleiha road on Monday. Sharjah Police said two died in the spot while other two rushed to the hospital. The speedy truck crashed with car and caused death to the driver and his passenger.
