A taxi driver was accused on Wednesday of stalking a woman and groping her, while touching himself.
The Court of First Instance was told that the 28-year-old Pakistani had approached the woman just as she had returned home from her day's work, shortly before 5am.
The woman, a 32-year-old Russian, said she missed the bus that usually dropped the staff home from the restaurant she worked at, on March 25. "I had to take a taxi to our company's accommodation in Greece cluster, International City. I held my purse in one hand, and was talking on my phone using the other hand."
She was about to open her building's door, when she felt someone touching her. "I turned around and saw a man (the defendant) behind me. He touched me inappropriately twice."
She screamed at him, and her colleagues happened to get there at the same time. "He ran away while my colleagues chased him. I called the police."
