Notary public service centres in Dubai have been reopened, the emirate's courts announced on Tuesday.
The external centres that are now open include those located at Al Twar centre, the traffic department in Al Barsha, Al Barsha mall, and Wafi Mall, the Dubai Courts said.
Taking effect on Tuesday, work hours in these external branches during the holy month of Ramadan will be from 9am to 1:30 pm.
Customers can get their transactions attested at any of the branches, upon submission of the required documents and their Emirates ID. Fees can be paid only through card payments. Cash will not be accepted.
The branches accept all kinds of transactions except for commercial companies' contracts and their modifications. For these contracts, customers can log on to the Dubai Courts portal to check the notary public assigned and their addresses.
Earlier, upon the reopening of Al Adheed service centres on May 3, the Dubai Courts announced in a statement that customers and staff are allowed inside the offices only if they are wearing face masks and gloves and after having their body temperatures checked.
"However, entry into the centres will be denied to pregnant women, the elderly, people of determination and people with chronic and respiratory diseases," said the statement. Waiting areas in the offices have since been closed and only concerned customers are allowed inside.
Dubai Courts' restrictions come as part of the preventive measures against Covid-19.
