A cook who allegedly poured hot oil on a 62-year-old Asian man has been ordered to be arrested by the judge at the Sharjah Misdemeanor Court.
The man had entered the kitchen to prepare breakfast when he was beaten up. He suffered burns after hot oil was poured on him.
The victim told the Sharjah Misdemeanor Court that the cook who works with him poured the oil on him. He added crying that he will not drop the case against the cook as the sponsor was forcing him to drop it.
The man who works as a driver said after he came back after dropping the sponsor's children to school, he was hungry and went to the kitchen to prepare breakfast. He poured oil into the pan and was heating it up when the cook, who is in his twenties, walked into the kitchen and shouted at him. He used abusive words and then poured the hot oil on him. The man suffered burns on his face, neck and hand.
The victim said he has been working in the country for many years and the young driver did not respect his age and health. He called on the court to punish him and said he will not reconcile with him.
The case has been adjourned to March 31.
