A drug overdose has killed a 30-year-old Emirati man, according to Brigadier Mohammad Rashid bin Nayie Al Teneiji, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police.
The man was found dead in his car in the parking area of the Fujairah hospital on Saturday.
Speaking to Khaleej Times, Brig. Al Teneiji said that the forensic doctor's report showed that the cause of death was an overdose of narcotics the man had used.
Al Teneiji said the brother of the deceased reported to the operations room that his brother had been absent from home in Ajman for two days, and one of his (the deceased) friends informed him that the victim was in his car at Fujairah Hospital.
A police team moved to the hospital where they found the man dead inside his car.
Autopsy proved that an overdose of drugs had led to the man's death. The CID officers apprehended friends of the deceased, who were with him prior to the incident, and questioned them to learn more details about the incident, Al Teneiji added.
