A man, visiting Dubai, was jailed on Tuesday for sexually harassing two Emirati women at an adventure and amusement attraction.
The Court of First Instance convicted the 28-year-old Pakistani man on charge of sexual assault, sentencing him to three months in prison.
He will be deported after serving his term.
The defendant is accused of inappropriately touching both women, aged 18 and 25, taking advantage of the the dark 'horror house'.
He had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge.
A complaint was filed by the two women on September 24, last year, at Al Barsha police station.
"I asked the accused and his friend to stay ahead of us in the haunted house but they wouldn't. At one point, he bumped into me and his body touched mine. I thought it happened by mistake. When he put his hand on my shoulder, I thought it was my friend," the student told the court.
"I felt his hands all over my body. He grabbed my shoulder again but I was afraid of his reaction in the dark so I ignored him then," she added.
The other complainant shared a similar story, saying that the accused behaved inappropriately during their visit to the horror house.
"He touched me as we passed the dark corridors. We realised he was doing it on purpose after he touched us more than once".
A CCTV footage showed the accused behind the two women together with his friend in the dark corridors in the horror house.
The two complainants can be seen on camera shouting at the defendant at the exit gate.
The visitor can appeal the court decision within 15 days.
