The owner of a company and three of his partners kidnapped and beat up a worker have been referred to court in Dubai.
The victim had paid Dh10,000 to the company owner who promised him he will employ him as a driver in the UAE, as per an Al Bayan report.
Upon his arrival, the company owner reneged on his promise and instead made him work as a labourer.
The man was furious and turned in his letter of resignation, but his boss refused.
Thereupon, the victim went to his country's consulate and registered a complaint against his employer.
When the owner found out about the man's complaint, he kidnapped the worker, took him to a flat, then beat him up with the help of his countrymen.
After some time, the victim promised to work as a labourer and do as the owner wanted.
The moment they let the man go, he again went to the consulate and after to the police station to file a complaint.
