According to prosecution records, the Bangladeshi farmer, 37, threatened the Pakistani boy with a knife to scare him and make him take his clothes off.

The boy said that he was approached by the accused as he walked out of a mosque following afternoon prayers on February 25. The man told him to go with him to his room to show him toys and other stuff but the boy refused. The boy kept walking and the defendant walked by his side.

All of a sudden, the defendant grabbed his hand and told him to keep quiet. When they reached his room, the accused dragged him inside. He locked the room with a key and brought a kitchen knife and threatened the boy, saying ‘take off your clothes or I will kill you’.

The accused made him lay down and then proceeded to assault him twice. The boy managed to run away when the accused went to the toilet to wash himself. The frightened boy informed his mother and father, who took him to the police station to report the assault.

Traces of semen found on the boy’s body matched with the defendant’s DNA, according to the Criminal Evidence report.
