DUBAI — A 52-year-old businessman allegedly molested a married woman aged 21as he was taking her in his car to help her with a job, the Court of First Instance heard on Sunday.
The Indian man allegedly touched the woman’s thigh and told her that he was looking for a woman as young as her. During investigation, he claimed that he touched the woman as he felt that she was feeling cold.
The Pakistani housewife told the prosecutor that she travelled with the defendant in December last year after he told her husband that he could take her to a job interview.
He picked her up from her house in Muraqqabat. During the journey, he told her that nothing in life was for free and that “if you want to have the sweets, you would not get them easily”.
Then, he allegedly grabbed her left thigh and pulled it toward him. He then told her to look into his eyes and smile. He told her that he wanted a woman as young as her.
She felt scared and sent a text message to her husband who then called and told the defendant to drop his wife back.
The woman’s 25-year-old Paksitani husband, who is jobless, said he let his wife go with the defendant in his car as he had asked him to help her get a job.
He heard through his wife’s mobile phone the conversation that was going on between her and the accused. He heard the defendant telling her that nothing in life was for free. He called his wife to step out of the car but the defendant did not let her and returned her home.
