An Indian woman sustained critical injuries after she reportedly fell from the third floor of Deira City Centre on Saturday evening.

The Dubai Police received information at about 7pm that a woman had fallen from the mall and was lying at the entrance of the B4 parking lot.

A police official said the woman, who is yet to be identified, was rushed to the hospital, where she is still in a critical condition. Two police cars had cordoned off the parking area at the mall, and the cause of the fall had not been established till the filing of this report.

A security guard at the mall told the police that the woman, dressed in pants and a shirt, was bleeding from her mouth after the fall. A broken CCTV camera was found beside her.

An eye witness told Khaleej Times that he and his family were at the mall when he saw the woman lying at the entrance.

“The woman was not moving and I thought that she was dead,” he said. “After I parked my car, an ambulance came and rushed the woman, who seemed to be in her 30s, to the hospital.”
