The case dates back to October last year when the worker fixed a car’s registration plate number on another car without getting the approval of the licensing department in Al Muhaisna.
The defendant was arrested and referred to the Traffic Prosecution to face legal action.
The Traffic Prosecution investigated the defendant as soon as he was brought from the area police station.
All the necessary legal and judicial procedures were taken.
The prosecution referred the accused to the traffic court on a charge-sheet in which they sought to inflict the penalties as stipulated for in the Federal Traffic Law and the Penal Code.
He was charged with moving a registration plate number from a vehicle to another without the licensing department’s authorisation.
The motorist was convicted based on his confession in the Public Prosecution investigation and the trial hearing. The verdict also considered the report filed by the police who arrested the accused.
