A manager stood trialon Wednesdayin the Court of First Instance on the charge of molesting a 10-year-old girl in the swimming pool.
The 33-year-old Lebanese is accused of inappropriately touching the Emirati girl while her parents were away. The incident allegedly happened onJuly 30.
The girl’s father, a 36-year-old employee, said during the prosecution investigation that when he was with his wife and other daughter in his hotel room in Al Barsha he received a phone call from the maid. “She told me that my daughter was sexually harassed by a stranger at the hotel’s swimming pool”.
The father took his wife and went to the pool. “I saw my daughter there, looking scared and confused. The maid then pointed at the accused as the one who molested the girl”.
The girl’s father then confronted the accused and informed the security guards who restrained him.
“My daughter told me that the accused came to her and asked about her name and where her father and mother were”. The girl told her father that the defendant touched her inappropriately in the water. She pushed him and went running to the maid.
