A top court has increased the jail term of a man accused of molesting his daughters, following a public prosecution's appeal.
The Emirati father, accused of molesting his two daughters - aged 16 and 12 - now will have to serve 10 years in jail.
The 40-year-old man had been found guilty of molesting daughters and sentenced to nine months in jail by the Court of First Instance.
However, the Court of Appeals has overturned the primary ruling and sentenced him to ten years in jail. He pleaded not guilty all along.
The father's heinous crime was discovered by the girls' mother after she found their photos and clips on the defendant's mobile phone.
He may challenge the verdict at the Court of Cessation.
