Three Pakistani expats have been charged for hiding the body of a 19-year-old woman after she was allegedly murdered by their friend.
According to case documents presented in the Dubai Court of First Instance, the alleged murderer, a Pakistani man, sought help from the other men to dispose of the Pakistani woman's body.
The accused it still at large.
The accused - who work as a PRO - tampered with the CCTV system of the building in Al Rafaa before they carried the victim's body to their car. They drove to Umm Al Quwain where they disposed it behind some trees near an exit on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
"We learned that a body was discovered around 8:10 am on June 26, last year.
The body was found in a garbage bag by a worker at Umm Al Quwain's Works Department.
The body was later moved to the Criminal Evidence Department of the Dubai police," a police sergeant said.
Another police lieutenant said: "The information we got was that a woman's body was disposed after she was killed. The murder - committed by a prostitution ring - took place in a building in Al Rafaa.
"The victim was brought to the country on a visit visa to work as a prostitute. She tried to escape from the man, who was exploiting her, to one of the accused who also forced her into prostitution. The absconding man also took her as his 'lover'".
"We have learnt that she was killed over a prostitution-related dispute. Meanwhile, we were also informed that a body was found in the other emirate. The body was decomposed and it belonged to a woman whose hands and feet were tied up. We had leads on the defendants' involvement in the case. We arrested them on September 30, 2016," the officer further added.
During interrogation, all of the accused confessed to helping the alleged murderer to dispose the victim's body, after he called them for help.
One of the accused claimed that a fight broke out between the runaway defendant and the victim which prompted her to jump off the building.
He also told investigators how they distracted the building watchman by luring him with an offer to have sex with a prostitute so that they could take the body to their car.
According to the forensic report, the cause of death was a blunt force trauma to the head, which caused severe internal bleeding. The trial has been adjourned to February 14.
