Three Emiratis sustained serious to moderate injuries during a group fight which took place in the early hours of Saturday at Al Riqah area in Sharjah.
Police officials said knives and swords were used in the fight. The injured men have been identified as A.G.S., 26, A.H.G., 18, and H.M.I., 25. The incident was reported to the police at 12.45am. By the time police patrols reached the area, the group had dispersed, leaving the injured men behind.
The police managed to arrest one of the accused and rushed the three injured men to Al Qassimi and Al Kuwaiti hospitals.
The police are interrogating the arrested suspect and have launched a manhunt to arrest the rest of them.
“We urge parents to ensure that their children don’t stay out during late hours and that they have not fallen into bad company,” a police official said.
