Worker accused of groping woman

Dubai - He allegedly hugged and groped the woman at night outside her place while she was alone.

A Pakistani worker has been charged with molestation in the Court of First Instance for allegedly hugging and groping a woman at night outside her place.
The 23-year-old worker allegedly took advantage that the woman was by herself and that none was around at that time. The case dates back to February 28.
The complainant, a 26-year-old Filipina, said that she was walking home to her place in Al Quoz shortly before midnight when she spotted the accused near the entrance gate.
"He began talking to me and asked for my number but I did not respond." The accused then allegedly offered her money but still she ignored him.
"He kept following me and said he only wanted to get to know me."
He then grabbed her hands and pulled her towards him trying to kiss her by force, she claimed. As she screamed and pushed him away, he grabbed her neck and she felt she could not breathe.
She said that he touched her while grabbing her neck. She screamed for help when she spotted a man walking towards them. He fled the scene while she called the police.
