A 35-year-old expat has been sentenced to prison and deportation after he slapped a man while fleeing from the police.
The suspect was being pursued by Dubai Police for a robbery that took place earlier.
While running away, a security guard noticed the accused and attempted to block his path. The suspect then slapped the guard on his left ear, knocking him to the ground.
He sustained permanent injuries and had to be hospitalised for three months in order to recover.
