UAE University, Zayed University and Higher Colleges of Technology have partnered up with the Apple team in a bid to appeal to its younger generation and offer easy access to learning materials.

Shaikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said the network will enable the UAE’s three higher education providers to offer online educational contents and paths and students will have easy access to huge valuable learning contents.

Shaikh Nahyan said the qualitative move affirmed the abilities of these national education institutions to embrace the latest learning technology, and underlined their growing partnership with Apple. “The initiative will transform the classroom into a free wall place where students can access knowledge from all over the world,” he noted. iTunes U gives educators an easy way to design complete courses with audio, video, and other content and distribute them through the iTunes U app. From the app, students can play video or audio lectures and take notes that are synchronised with the lecture. They can also read books and view presentations.

The powerful iTunes U app integrates with iBooks and other apps to make it easy for students to keep up with your course.
