Dubai - It was a day of joy for students at Indian curriculum schools following the announcement of results for Kerala and Tamil Nadu state board exams.

The Model School Abu Dhabi presented 104 students for the Higher Secondary Examination of March 2015 and Najnene Fatima came first in the UAE in the science stream scoring of 98.17 per cent marks. Fazlul Ershad and Athira Sankar came second with 97.83 per cent.

In the Commerce Stream, four students secured A+ in all the 6 papers. Hiba Nizar was first with 96.92 per cent, Mervin Ann Reji came second with 96.33 marks.

At New Indian Model School, Sharjah, 75 students took the Kerala Higher Secondary examination. Jazeel Basheer topped the Commerce Stream with 96.2 per cent while Mirfa Abdul Kabeer came second with 93.1 per cent. In the Science stream, Neeju Kuzhiyani topped the school with 93.3 per cent followed by Nada Thasneem (92.3 per cent).

At the Crescent English High School, students taking the Tamil Nadu Board Examination recorded good results. Mohammed Kudbudeen Jaffar Ali was the school topper in Grade 12, scoring 93 per cent in Commerce stream. Abisherlin Esthaklouis was the school topper in Grade 10 with 98 per cent.
