The first two Tests will be held back-to-back in Multan and the last in Rawalpindi
The campaign, which aims to spread the habit of reading among the youngsters, includes programmes designed to enhance their reading and writing skills and discovering talents among students.
“The road to innovation and excellence begins with the student’s keenness to read through active cooperation with all community members and by encouraging them to take part in the numerous related events,” said Dr Mugheer Khamis Al Khaili, director-general of Adec.
Dr Karima Almazroui, Adec’s curriculum division manager, stated that the advanced curricula at Adec relies on making learning resources easily accessible for students, thereby encouraging parents to take part in teaching their children how to read at home. The campaign is a continuation of the success of the first round of ‘Abu Dhabi Reads’ and reflects the great attention Adec gives to improving students’ reading skills and underscoring the capabilities to achieve success in national and international tests.
The key objective of the campaign is to raise awareness on the importance of reading among school students and the community at large. The activities of the campaign target Abu Dhabi school students.
