The Abu Dhabi University (ADU) received international academic accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges: Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC).
The commission awarded ADU international accreditation for a period of six years for upholding the highest international academic standards of higher education institutions worldwide in teaching, scientific research and community service and for its commitment to three core values: student learning and success outcomes, quality and improvement, and institutional integrity, sustainability and accountability.
The announcement was made on Saturday during a Press conference in the presence of Ali Saeed bin Harmal Al Dhaheri, Chairman of Abu Dhabi University's Executive Board; Dr. Nabil Ibrahim, Chancellor of the Abu Dhabi University; Dr. Richard Gibb, Provost of ADU; and a number of educational leaders, faculty and staff.
Ali Saeed Bin Harmal Al Dhaheri explained that this achievement translates ADU's commitment to the culture of excellence instilled in our nation by its wise leadership. "Our pursuit of international academic accreditation and adhering to globally competitive standards was not an easy task, especially as Abu Dhabi University has only just entered its second decade since its inception in 2003," he added.
