Graduating students can now seek advice and help from the University alumni to gain success in their field of work. AMSI Voices, a networking platform by Academia Management Solutions International (Amsi) helps empower the graduating students by connecting them with the schools' alumni.
It was introduced by Amsi in 2015 to inspire and empower their graduating youth to prepare for life after school through an annual gathering with the schools' alumni from Al Mawakeb Schools and the International School of Arts and Sciences.
Students can take leadership advice from the alumni and are encouraged to discuss and explore various topics that can help them in their careers.
Each year the platform introduces a new theme to discuss and explore through panel discussions and mini-workshop sessions.
Speaking to media in Dubai, the members also announced the second edition of AMSI Voices, which will build on the previous success, which concluded under the theme of "Girls Are Makers of Change".
Alissar Nasr-Soubra, Amsi Chief Academic Officer, said: "After successfully holding our first edition, we had students who told us that they benefitted from the expert talks greatly, and felt motivated to identify their skills and focus their efforts in transforming themselves into achievers. We are confident that in a few years, AMSI Voices will have a positive effect on the wider student community across schools and universities in the country."
The event benefits from the leadership of its prominent 5-member committee: Alissar Nasr, Hind Seddiqi, Mariam Al Afridi and Mahra Al Khaja.
