The pilgrimage will last for 6 days, and be split between Makkah and Madinah
A short film, entitled ‘Back to School’, was launched on Sunday on the UAE government channel on YouTube (www.youtube.com/uaegov), offering a new perspective to the annual academic event.
The film highlights the feelings associated with the first day at school as shared by students, parents and teachers.
Through a series of educational advice, the five-minute film urges students to pursue excellence and innovation in their studies, starting from the first day of school and extending across the entire academic year through an integrated educational process.
“The first day of school is the most important day in a student’s life,” says a teacher at the beginning of the film. It later shows the expressions of students on their first day at school.
“On the first day, I met my best friends – Mansour, Hashem and Yusuf,” a young student shares his impression in the first day at school.
Highlighting the educational aspect, a teacher expresses the importance of psychological preparation for students while another describes the school radio as an important means of communication between the students and school administration.
The film also draws attention to school activities showcasing them as important pillars in the educational process that can help students enhance their skills and thought process.
“I love the astronomy club at my school because it enables me to learn about Space. Such activities help students to rely on themselves and get all the information they require,” a student explains while describing his impressions about school activities.
The film is focused on smart learning and the importance of utilising technology to accomplish tasks. “Smart learning has enabled students as well as teachers to achieve success, and its positive impacts are very evident in the educational process. It is one of the most important initiatives in the modern world,” Hussain Ibrahim Al Hammadi, Minister of Education, states in the film.
The film, which concludes with a scene showing students in a school bus, highlights all aspects of the educational process which apart from academic work includes joy and hope.
His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai launched the UAE government channel on YouTube last June.
The channel is an official and exclusive source of news related to the federal government’s activities which are broadcast with the highest technical quality.
