The challenge was a spectacular showcase of business acumen with ideas that were not just unique and out-of-the-box but also true to the real world. Team Business Buffs from Dubai Gem Private School and Team 20/20 VISSION from Victoria International School, Sharjah, also finished strong, winning first and second runners up titles, respectively.
The Business Cup Challenge is a unique CSR initiative by Murdoch University Dubai.
This year’s competition grew intense with over 50 teams from across 33 schools battling it out to the top. In addition to schools from all across the UAE, teams from Bahrain, Jeddah, Dammam, Riyadh and Jordan also took part.
“These students are so confident and ready to face the world at this stage of their education. I am eager to know and meet them once they graduate. The possibilities are just limitless,” added Ahmed Al Dhufri, Relationship Manager at National Bonds Corporation, the event’s co-sponsors.
Zana Azeredo, Business Lecturer at Murdoch University Dubai said: “I think the level of creativity that we saw today is amazing. This was a great exercise for students because they were put in real life business stress scenarios where they had to present their plan to a board.
“The preparation that goes on backstage is what sets you in line for the real deal later and we are happy to see these children work so hard towards it.”
