The 2021 edition of the Central Board of Secondary Education examinations for Grade 10 and Grade 12 students will take place between May 4 and June 10, announced Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday.
The Minister took to his Twitter account to make the announcement on December 31. The results will be announced on July 15, said the Minister.
Earlier this month, on December 22, while interacting with teachers virtually on social media, Pokhriyal said that this year the board exams will be delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and there is no possibility of conducting the exam till February.
He also confirmed that the exam will not be held online. Students will have a gap of one month between the pre-boards and board exams.
The education minister further said that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has reduced the curriculum for Class 10 and 12 by 30 per cent.
