Speaking about the summit, leading psychiatrist and chairman of Expressions India Dr Jitender Nagpal, said over a thousand CBSE schools would come together along with schools in the Gulf to frame a national policy which would be for students, by students and of students.

The policy would cover areas of values, gender and well-being to be integrated in curriculums across CBSE schools.

The two-day summit started with an exhibition displayed by participating schools on a variety of topics ranging from bullying, sustainable development, gender and environment sensitivity to social media. Students were later given a chance to showcase their talent in a series of competitions testing their skills in elocution, thematic jingles and a quiz.

A series of workshops were held on inclusion, youth leadership and awareness, and peer mentorship, and this is the first summit where children are actively involved in policy making.
