Derek O ’Brien to host school quiz show
An inter-school quiz competition, ‘Knowledge Quest 2014’, hosted by famous quizmaster Derek O’Brien, will be organised on February 7 at BITS Pilani Dubai campus, as part of the institute’s 50th anniversary.
The quiz, which will be in English, is for the students of middle and senior school (Grade 8 to 12) and open to all schools in the UAE. Each school had the option of registering more than one team till January 30, 2014.
The preliminary written test, semi-finals and finals will be conducted on February 7, 2014.
Winners will be awarded trophies, certificates and cash awards. Scholarships to BITS Pilani degree courses, Shiamak dance class vouchers and many other exciting prizes are will also be offered as prizes and participation certificates will be issued to all the participants.
Knowledge Quest 2014 is an initiative to challenge the boundaries of knowledge of youngsters and encourage schools to have quiz contests as a learning activity. It will also be an avenue for participants and enthusiasts to interact with the finest quizzers of the UAE and enjoy a fun-filled, brain tickling, delightful evening.
