Cross-border tensions between Israel and Lebanon have led to fears of an all-out war
Sharjah - A private school in Dibba Al Hisn that was being run in a villa has been ordered shut by the Sharjah Education Zone. About 270 students and 23 employees of the school have been affected by the move, according to the school’s headmistress.
The education regulatory body said the school was ordered shut for failing to meet the standards set up by the Ministry of Education. “The school lacked the required health, safety and security standards,” said an education zone official.
Parents expressed concern over finding seats for their children on such short notice.
Eman Al Sharif, the school’s headmistress, confirmed having received the closure order. “It is going to be very difficult for parents to find alternative schools for their children.” -afkarali@khaleejtimes.com
