The new school will follow the CBSE curriculum and will be built on the lines of the existing DPS schools in Dubai and Sharjah.

Speaking with Khaleej Times, Dinesh Kothari, pro vice-chairman of DPS said, “We have received clearance from the Abu Dhabi Education Council (ADEC) and finalised the school’s location. At the moment, we are waiting for approvals from other related authorities.”

His comments came on the sidelines of an inter-school Hindi competition hosted at the school’s Sharjah campus.

Ashok Chandra, Chairman, DPS Society said, “We have plans to open up 40 new schools which will join the group’s existing chain of 156 schools across India, Africa and the Middle East.”
