Are your kids clued in on human rights? Could you spot the face of an abuse victim? How about your child?
Well, the Community Development Authority (CDA) showcased its child-friendly, mobile application game called 'My Rights CDA' during the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE), an app that aims to encourage children to spot if a person's rights are being violated, the game is initially split into four sections: protection from abuse; right to get an education; right to medical treatment; and extras.
From finding an abused animal's face among a sea of happy faces, to helping find the right cure for the sick, children are urged to "touch it to help it" in a bid to raise awareness on the obvious signs of abuse.
The app has already been downloaded 500 times, and the CDA's information technology spokesperson said the main aim is to promote the app among schools and parents.
"We are targeting both public and private schools to utilise this app, but given that more private schools promote inclusion here, they are our main target."
CDA hits 98% happiness rating
Meanwhile, since its opening six months ago, the CDA's Customer Happiness Centre has seen an increase in customer satisfaction from 66 per cent to 98 per cent.
With about 11,000 registered clients under the CDA, the opening of its first walk-in centre in September 2016 has seen the wait time for service delivery drop from 10-12 weeks to just three days, with the full application and registration process for a service taking just 45 minutes.
And it's an impressive feat which saw the authority receive the Hamdan bin Mohammed Award for Smart Government's number one position.
Ahmad Jalfar, director-general of the CDA, said the authority's participation in the DIGAE aims to utilise the important platform to connect with various governmental institutions and to present the most successful experiences in the field of customer services.

More to come from CDA
Speaking to Khaleej Times on the sidelines of the Dubai International Government Achievements Exhibition (DIGAE), Khalid Al Ramsi, director of customer services at the CDA, said the centre's social benefits services are the most sought after among customers (77 per cent), as it offers financial aid where needed.
Although the customer satisfaction rate has seen a 32 per cent increase from 2014 to present day, Al Ramsi said there is more to come from CDA.
"Our next roll-out phase will see us applying the 7-star criteria in May. That project aims to offer the customer the same service as a 7-star hotel.
" Now, the centre boasts a zero-waiting time policy; a five minute turnaround to gauge the customer's needs, expectations, and registration; and a 45-minute turnaround to evaluate the request and arrange the service," he added.
