Education transforms lives. Undergraduate business based degrees extend and introduce students to a range of skills that are immediately recognised by employers and therefore highly valuable to the graduate. In this way the School of Business delivers a range of undergraduate degrees including: Accountancy • Finance • International Finance • International Business • Management • Economics • Financial • Economics • Business Economics with Marketing.
In a similar way postgraduate MSc degrees also transform lives. Postgraduate MSc degrees can be separated into two broad groups. The first can be termed ‘conversion’ degrees where students are eligible to enter these programmes if they have any good undergraduate degree with some evidence of quantitative skills. Students on these programmes can refine their existing skills and knowledge or they can change the emphasis of their knowledge from a non-business discipline to a business based degree.
The School of Business has three important ‘conversion’ postgraduate MSc degree programmes:
MSc International Business
MSc Management
MSc Banking and Finance (new for 2015/16)
These three degree programmes have September and January intakes, 16 degree specialisms, and all have the same undergraduate entry requirements. Students can choose towards the end of the two week foundation course when they start the degrees any of the specialisms across any of the programmes.
The second broad group of MSc programmes provided by the School of Business are ‘extension’ degrees that take the existing knowledge and skills of students and extend them to a new higher level. These MSc programmes include:
MSc Finance
MSc Accounting and Finance
MSc International Accounting
MSc Professional Accountancy
MSc Accountancy (new September 2015)
MSc Accounting, Management and Strategy
