Dubai: In a golden opportunity for Indian graduates in the UAE who wish to enhance their careers by studying abroad, Guru Kashi University (based in Punjab, India) has entered into a partnership with Southern Utah University (USA) and University of Lisbon's School of Economics and Management (ISEG) that will allow students to enroll in a 2-in-1 course and study across all three countries.

The 30-month Dual Degree in Masters of Information System (MIS) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) will create market-driven innovative academic programmes that will enable students to acquire professional skills and knowledge necessary for success in the 21st century, Guru Kashi University Chancellor J.S. Dhaliwal said.

“The dual course is designed for students who want to obtain a deep understanding of both information systems and business. The MBA programme is designed to advance the knowledge and practice of business and administration and the MIS portion is designed to prepare graduates with a broad-based knowledge of information system design, development, implementation, evaluation, and analysis,” he added.

According to details provided in the university, students will spend their first six months in India, followed by a year in Portugal, and the final year in US. Students will be eligible for placements at Utah after completion of the course.

The university will shortly announce a representative office in Dubai, where students will be able to apply for the course. Meanwhile, queries can be directed to gku.mena@gmail.com.

Last date of application for the current academic session is June 19, 2015, and classes will begin in late August.
